Our ceremony and reception will both take place at Minnekhada Lodge in Minnekhada Regional Park, Coquitlam, BC. The ceremony will be outdoors, and the reception will be inside the lodge.

Please arrive around 3:30 PM, with enough time to park, walk in, and find your seat before our 4:00 PM ceremony.

Parking at Minnekhada Lodge is very limited, so please carpool if you can. Vehicles cannot be left overnight.

No, vehicles cannot be left overnight at Minnekhada Lodge. Please plan your own ride home or designate a driver. Carpooling is encouraged. If you need help connecting with other guests for a carpool, let us know; we may be able to help, but transport is not provided.

Formal garden-party attire: suits and ties, long dresses or equally dressy alternatives are encouraged. Tuxedos are not required. Some of the celebration will be outdoors on grass, so comfortable dress shoes, flats or block heels are a good choice. Bring a light layer, and optional walking shoes if you would like to explore the park.

A little West Coast rain is part of the magic, and we are planning with the weather in mind. If it rains lightly, we will continue with the ceremony outside as planned. If the weather is heavy enough to change our plans, the ceremony will move to the covered balcony at Minnekhada Lodge. If anything needs to change, we will update guests as clearly as possible.

Yes! Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 PM with light bites, followed by the reception and tacos from the Tacofino food truck. Non-alcoholic refreshments will be available. Please include any dietary needs with your RSVP so we can discuss them with our caterer.

Drinks are hosted. We’re planning margaritas from the food truck during cocktail hour, followed by a limited selection of canned and bottled drinks for the rest of the evening. Non-alcoholic refreshments will also be available. Please arrange a safe ride home if you plan to drink.

During the ceremony, we kindly ask that you put away phones and cameras and be fully present with us. We have hired a photographer to capture the ceremony, and those photos will be shared with you later.

After the ceremony, please take as many photos as you like. We will have a photo scavenger hunt set up after the ceremony, and we would love for you to capture and share your perspective of the evening with us.

Dogs are not permitted inside the lodge. Since the reception is indoors, it would be best for our furry friends not to attend.

Minnekhada Lodge is surrounded by forest. If you’d like to explore between the ceremony and reception, bring shoes you’re comfortable walking in and stay on the maintained paths.
