Minnekhada Lodge, Coquitlam

Our day will begin with an outdoor ceremony at Minnekhada Lodge at 3:00 PM, surrounded by the natural beauty of the park. Guests are welcome to arrive anytime after 2:30 PM so there is time to park, walk in, and find a seat before the ceremony begins.

After the ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy a relaxed walk around Minnekhada park while family and wedding party photos are taking place. At 4:00 PM, we'll ease into cocktail hour with drinks, light snacks, mingling, and our featured cocktail. Around 5:30 PM, we'll gather inside the lodge for the reception, dinner, candlelight, cozy celebration, dessert, music, and dancing into the evening.

3:00 PM - Ceremony

Our outdoor ceremony begins at Minnekhada Lodge.

3:30 PM - Photos and Guest Transition Time

While family and wedding party photos are happening, guests can mingle, explore nearby, and begin the Minnekhada Photo Walk.

4:00 PM - Cocktail Hour

Drinks, light snacks, photo prompts, and time to enjoy the forest and lodge.

5:30 PM - Dinner and Reception

Dinner and the evening celebration begin inside the lodge.

Later in the Evening - Dessert, Music and Dancing

We'll continue the celebration with dessert, music, and dancing.

Things You Should Know

    Our ceremony and reception will both take place at Minnekhada Lodge in Minnekhada Regional Park, Coquitlam, BC. The ceremony will be outdoors, and the reception will be inside the lodge.

  • Anytime after 2:30 PM would be smart. Please arrive with enough time to park, walk in, and find your seat before our 3:00 PM ceremony.

  • Parking at Minnekhada Lodge is very limited, so please carpool if you can. Vehicles cannot be left overnight.

  • No. Vehicles cannot be left overnight at Minnekhada Lodge.

  • Yes. Our ceremony is planned to be outdoors in the forest setting at Minnekhada. Please dress for the weather and bring a light layer.

  • A little West Coast rain is part of the magic, and we are planning with the weather in mind. If it rains lightly, we will continue with the ceremony outside as planned. If the weather is heavy enough to change our plans, the ceremony will move to the covered balcony at Minnekhada Lodge. If anything needs to change, we will update guests as clearly as possible.

  • Yes. Cocktail hour will begin at 4:00 PM with light snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, and a small selection of cocktails available. Dinner will begin at 5:30 PM. The bar will close at 11:30 PM.

  • We will not be having a fully open bar. Each guest will receive two drink tickets to use during the reception. After that, additional drinks may be purchased by credit card until the bar closes at 11:30 PM. Non-alcoholic drinks will also be available throughout the evening.

  • During the ceremony, we kindly ask that you put away phones and cameras and be fully present with us. We have hired a photographer to capture the ceremony, and those photos will be shared with you later.

    After the ceremony, please take as many photos as you like. We will have a photo scavenger hunt set up after the ceremony, and we would love for you to capture and share your perspective of the evening with us.

  • Dogs are not permitted inside the lodge. Since the reception is indoors, it would be best for our furry friends not to attend.
